[Final] Masahiro INADOMI (1st) vs Yoshimi HIGASHI (2nd)
The 12th All Japan Kendo 8th Dan Championship took place in Nagoya Japan on Apr 20.
I wasn’t in Japan but due to the All Japan Kendo Federation streaming the championship live I could watch it from the beginning to the end. As the title says, all the participants were 8th dan. It was quite different than other championships where most participants are much younger. It was very calm but tense. When they strike it was very powerful too. I was impressed by how they read each other before striking. I tired to draw while I was watching and it wasn’t easy, but it was fun.
I hope I can go see The 16th World Kendo Championship next year which will be at The Nippon Budokan in Tokyo!
