I visited Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburg with my sister and brother in law. It was my first visit to the university. Thanks to my brother in law who graduated from this school, I had a grand tour of the campus. Some historic buildings and other places with stories were interesting but the sculpture ‘Walking to the sky’ by Jonathan Borofsky was definitely the most eye catching structure on the campus. I like the idea of walking to the sky with only a narrow pole. It is surreal but also very comforting not seeing any safety equipment on people. I made a short comic imagining the pole is too short to reach the actual sky, if we could ever know when it begins.
