The first shoes my husband ever bought for me were these chucks. In Korea, there is a superstition about buying a pair of shoes for your partner. Some people believe that the person who received the shoes will run away wearing them. I never believed this kind of myth but it’s always fun to listen to. I’ve heard that it’s bad luck to open an umbrella in the house. Another superstitious thing in Korea is whistling at night. Old folks used to say if you do that a snake will come out.
What kind of myths does your country have? Do you believe it?
