The big difference between my husband and I is that my husband is a sound person and I am a visual person. He listens to music like I’m looking at paintings. It’s not easy for me to distinguish all the different sounds in a song that make the song special. Sometimes he would say, ‘I love the little hits on this song’. The little hits, I’ve never noticed before he pointed them out. A similar scenario happens when I’m talking about a painting or drawing.
One night we went out to a fairly popular place near his place in Japan. We looked around an electronic shop and he spent quite a bit of time trying all the headphones out. That reminds me of myself in an art supply store which I actively avoid, because I can’t leave without doing an over-purchase.
